Data Deletion Instructions

Your privacy is important to us. This page explains how to delete your data from GT Persona Center.

What Data We Store

When you use GT Persona Center, we store:

  • Your account information (username, email, encrypted password)
  • Your persona data (names, birthdays, notes, and other details you add)
    • <
  • Your profile information (if you signed in with Google, Facebook, Apple, or GitHub)
  • Authentication data (OAuth tokens and provider information)
  • Session data (login timestamps and activity logs)

How to Delete Your Data

Method 1: Delete Your Account (Recommended)

This permanently deletes all your data from our systems:

  1. Log in to your account
  2. Go to My Account or Settings
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the page
  4. Click "Delete Account"
  5. Confirm the deletion when prompted

⚠️ Warning: This action is permanent and cannot be undone. All your personas and data will be deleted immediately.

Method 2: Request Data Deletion via Email

If you cannot access your account, send an email to:

Subject: Data Deletion Request

Include in your email:

  • The email address associated with your account
  • Your username (if you remember it)
  • Confirmation that you want all your data deleted

We will process your request within 30 days and send you a confirmation email when complete.

Method 3: Revoke Facebook/Google/Apple/GitHub Access

If you signed in with a third-party service, you can also revoke access:

Facebook:

  1. Go to Facebook Settings → Apps and Websites
  2. Find "GT Persona Center" in the list
  3. Click "Remove" to revoke access
  4. Then use Method 1 or 2 above to delete your data from our systems

Google:

  1. Go to Google Account Permissions
  2. Find "GT Persona Center" and click "Remove Access"
  3. Then use Method 1 or 2 above to delete your data from our systems

Apple:

  1. Go to Settings → Apple ID → Password & Security → Apps Using Apple ID
  2. Select "GT Persona Center" and tap "Stop Using Apple ID"
  3. Then use Method 1 or 2 above to delete your data from our systems

GitHub:

  1. Go to GitHub Settings → Applications → Authorized OAuth Apps
  2. Find "GT Persona Center" and click "Revoke"
  3. Then use Method 1 or 2 above to delete your data from our systems

⚠️ Important: Revoking access from Facebook/Google/Apple/GitHub only disconnects the third-party service. Your data still exists in our system until you delete your account using Method 1 or 2.

What Happens When You Delete Your Data

When you delete your account:

  • Immediate Deletion: Your account and all persona data are deleted from our database immediately
  • OAuth Disconnection: All connections to third-party login services are removed
  • Session Termination: You are logged out from all devices
  • Backup Removal: Your data is removed from backups within 30 days
  • No Recovery: Deleted data cannot be recovered

Data We Cannot Delete

We may retain certain anonymized data for legal compliance and security purposes:

  • Anonymized security logs (no personally identifiable information)
  • Legal records required by law (de-identified where possible)
